The pot holes in Hardanger is just amazing. It is not a dive for beginners becuse of strong current. The site is in the mountains of Hardanger and the pot holes are from the ice age. Amazing and very exciting dive.

The film is caputered during a servey with marine archeologists from the Bergen Maritime Museum - in the region of Sunnhordaland. These heaps of stone (ballast) tells us the story of trading with sailing vessels from the west coasts of Norway to the Europe and Scotland from the early Medieval Age up to 18th Century. A lot of our hidden cultural heritage is to be found under water. Keep up with this site and you will experience more of underwater cultural history the next three years. I am doing a three year project called "The Sea tells - treasures in the Sea" together with an archeologist (2014 - 2016). More to come............
